RBU Vice-chancellor Sabyasachi Basu Ray Chaudhury said the personalities will be conferred the D Litt on May 8 at the University's Jorasanko Thakurbari campus, the family home of Rabindranath Tagore.
The West Bengal State Akademi of Dance Drama Music and Visual Arts Awards will be conferred on danseuse K Jatindra Singh, theatre personality Ashok Mukhopadhyay and painter Isha Mahammad, while researcher Sabita Ranjan Sarkar will be given the 'Acharya Dinesh Chandra Sen Memorial Award' for his work in folk-lore research, he said.
Seventy scholars will be awarded their Ph.D. Degrees, while 50 scholars will get their M.Phil degrees at the convocation.
