Amway, a leading direct selling FMCG company in India, today launched four 'Nutrilite Traditional Herbs Range' under Vitamins and Dietary Supplements (VDS) segment in the regional market.
The new range comprising Nutrilite Tulsi, Brahmi, Ashwagandha and Nutrilite Amalak-Vibhitaki-Haritaki offers combined benefits of organic certified herbs and DNA fingerprinted herbs which is unique of its kind currently available in the market, Amway India Senior Vice President, North and South Gurusharan Cheema told reporters here.
Of the Rs 8,400 crore market for VDS, the herbal/traditional vitamins and dietary suppplement market is estimated at Rs 2,400 crore and the company is expecting to do business worth Rs 50 crore in the first year, which will touch Rs 125 crore by 2020, he said.
The company's stores are expected to reach 1,000 by 2030, which is at present 140 across the country, he said.
On procuring herbs, Cheema said that the company is outsourcing the required traditional herbs from nine suppliers and has plans to expand by roping in farmers across the country.
