Addressing CEOs of infotech companies at a conclave here today, he said that the Andhra Pradesh government would extend all help to infotech companies to invest in the state and start units for overall development of the state.
The government would provide all infrastructure to infotech companies including 24-hours power, he said, adding that the plan is to develop infotech in a big way and provide internet connections to all households in the state.
He said Andhra Pradesh would become the number one state in the country by 2029 since the government gives priority for industrial development as well as the infotech industry.
Visakhapatnam is the biggest city after Hyderabad with all natural resources and the city could potentially be not only Andhra Pradesh's financial capital but also India's, he said.
The city is industrially developing very fast and the 29 km sea coast between Visakhapatnam and Bheemili would be developed as a 'Silicon Corridor'.
He said that Vijayawada and its surrounding areas would be the Andhra Pradesh state capital while Visakhaptnam could be the infotech and tourism hub.
Visakhpatnam district has mineral wealth, including bauxite, while East Godavari, West Godavari and Krishna districts have natural gas reserves, he said.
