Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today called upon industrialists to come forward to invest in the state and assured them of all help from his Government.
Addressing a gathering here after launching the 'Infrastructure Mission' of his government this evening, he said the TDP-led administration is working towards making Andhra Pradesh a knowledge hub.
"Andhra Pradesh will become one the three high-performing states in India by 2022-23, best state by 2029-30 and a leading investment destination in the world by 2050."
Industrialists should set up ventures in the state to fast-track its development and the government will provide all possible help in their endeavour, Naidu maintained.
The Infrastructure Mission would streamline efforts of the government towards creation of assets in a time-bound manner with set targets and monitorable outcomes, he said.
Creation of infrastructure is very essential for industrial development which leads to employment creation, the Chief Minister said.
Andhra Pradesh will become the gateway for South-East Asian countries when Visakhapatnam is developed as a logistic hub in future, he said.
With the support extended by the Narendra Modi government, Andhra Pradesh will be developed as one of the best states in the country since it is rich in agricultural and natural resources, Naidu said.
The Centre has decided to develop Visakhapatnam as a smart city and a team from the US would be arriving here on April 10 to begin the process of preparing a master plan for the project, the Chief Minister said.
Naidu said a second international airport will be established at Bhogapuram in Visakhapatnam district. The State plans to develop eight airports in addition to the six which are currently operational.
Also, airports at Vijayawada, Tirupati, Rajahmundry, Kadapa and Puttaparthi will be modernised, he said.
Naidu said a gas grid to be set up by the government would provide natural gas through a network of pipelines to industrial, transport, commercial and domestic sectors.
He said the government has envisioned a 'Digital Andha Pradesh' project that is aimed at bridging the digital divide and enabling skill development to boost economic growth of the State.
