Anna Hazare has said that he will fight for Medha Patkar's release, and go to Chindwada if she is not unconditionally released.
Patkar was arrested on Sunday night as part of a police clampdown on protests against the Pench Water Diversion Project in Chindwara.
Anna Hazare alongwith Justice Sachar, Arvind Gaur, Bhupinder Rawat, Rajendra Ravi staged protests against Patkar's continued detention today in Delhi's Madhya Pradesh Bhawan.Patkar who has begun a fast in detention today alleged that the jail authorities were trying to forcefeed her to compel her to end the fast.
A petition by Patkar is to come up before the Jabalpur High Court tomorrow.
Medha Patkar was earlier member of the India Against Corruption but left it after Anna Hazare and Arvind Kejriwal parted ways and the latter decided to go political.
Patkar has chosen to stay with the new movement that is being started by Hazare.
