"It's a good manifestation," Oraon, a Congress MLA, said after taking oath as the second woman minister in the Hemant Soren-led UPA government in Jharkhand here today.
"After getting whatever departments, my priority will be to correct the previous "irregularities" and work for development," she told PTI.
RJD leader and another Minister Annapurna Devi, who took oath along with Soren on July 13, said earlier induction of women in the cabinet was just symbolic, but "now it is genuine".
Earlier in the day, Soren expanded his cabinet inducting six new faces, taking the total number of ministers to nine.
