Probe ordered into revenue mismanagement by J-K PDD officials

The Jammu and Kashmir government today ordered a probe into the allegations that the field staff of Power Development Department (PDD) in the district are not depositing the tariff collected from the consumers.
Taking a serious view of a media report regarding the allegations made by the locals of Pargwal Ahknoor, the state Power minister Vikar Rasool Wani has directed the Power Development Commissioner to inquire into the matter and submit the findings within a fortnight.
The agitated locals has staged protest demonstrations against these malpractice, leading a loss to the state exchequer.
