Oscar-winning actress Anne Hathaway nearly escaped a mishap when she was saved from drowning in Hawaii recently.
Th 31-year-old 'Les Miserables' star was caught in a rip current while she went swimming at a beach in Hawaii and was drowning as her husband Adam Shulman looked for help, reported Radar online.
A local surfer at the sight heard the star screaming for help and was quick to rescue her thereby averting any mishap.
The actress was fortunate to come out of the danger with just a minor foot injury that her husband attended to later.
