Anonymous caller threatens to bomb BARC colony

District police have increased security in and around BARC colony at Tarapur after an anonymous caller threatened that the area would be bombed.
The colony houses employees of Bhabha Atomic Research Centre.
The threat call was received at BARC-Tarapur office this afternoon. The caller said the Boisar BARC residential colony would be blown off by a bomb, police said.
Thane rural police started vehicle checking in the area and tightened security.
