Chief Judicial Magistrate of Patna, Bharat Singh, sent the 'bahubali' (muscleman) MLA from Mokama to custody till July 15 in the case relating to the murder of one Sanjay Singh in 2008.
The JD(U) MLA from Mokama was brought to the CJM court for production from Beur jail in the case which had been lodged with Kotwali police station in 2008.
Singh is in jail in a case of kidnapping of a builder Raju Singh under Bihta police station of rural Patna district in November last year.
The MLA while returning from the court told mediapersons that RJD president Lalu Prasad and expelled Madhepura MP and Jan Adhikar Party leader Rajesh Ranjan alias Pappu Yadav have "hatched a conspiracy" against him for the sake of vote in the coming Assembly election.
The recent outburst of Prasad and Pappu Yadav against Singh was seen in the light of Putush Yadav in the Barh case being their fellow casteman and Singh's Bhumihar caste members have been at loggerhead with Yadavs since RJD rule in the state.
