Teams of the Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) today carried out surprise raids at five public distribution system (PDS) outlets and unearthed huge irregularities and corruption in stock of wheat and kerosene meant for the consumers, a senior officer said.
Additional Superintendent of Police (ACB-Kota) Chandersheel Thakur said the raids were carried out following information of huge corruption and irregularities in the distribution of wheat and kerosene.
The involvement of officials of the district supply office cannot be ruled out in irregularities and corruption in stocks at PDS shops, he said.
The ACB teams have also seized records from the district supply office and analysis of the same is underway, he added.
The teams have sealed two of the PDS shops.
