"Sacred Games" co-director Anurag Kashyap and actor Swara Bhasker have praised Congress chief Rahul Gandhi's stand on the uproar over the Netflix Original series.
Amid a row over alleged use of derogatory language in the web series while referring to former prime minister Rajiv Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi said the BJP and the RSS believe that freedom of expression must be policed, while he regards it as a fundamental democratic right.
"My father lived and died in the service of India. The views of a character on a fictional web series can never change that," he wrote on Twitter yesterday.
Kashyap quoted Rahul Gandhi's tweet and wrote, "That's a yay..."
