The 21-year-old actor is in early negotiations to feature in the remake of "Nosferatu", reported Variety.
Eggers is also penning the script of the film, which will reimagine the 1922 silent movie.
The movie revolves around the life of the vampire, Count Orlok of Transylvania, who wants to buy a house in Germany and falls for the real-estate agent's wife.
Eggers is not the first director to remake the film. Director Werner Herzog had made the movie way back in 1979.
