The Associated Press and other international news organizations have suspended coverage of the Indian Premier League cricket tournament that starts tomorrow in the United Arab Emirates.
IPL organizers have barred photographic agencies that have traditionally covered cricket from working at the T20 international tournament, which is made up of city franchise teams.
Organizers say a small selection of pictures taken by its own photographers will be made available to the media.
The tournament is run by the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI), the sport's governing body in India.
International media have not covered the last three editions of the IPL as well as tours to India by Australia and England because of similar restrictions.
AP is working with the News Media Coalition, a consortium of international media, to try to resolve the issue.
