Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu today said the state government will raise the amount of monthly pension being given to elderly artistes as well as handicapped to Rs 1,500.
"The amount of pension being given to the aged artistes as well as handicapped persons, will be increased to Rs 1,500 from the existing Rs 500. The Government order to this effect will issued in two days," Naidu said.

He directed the officials to take necessary steps so that nobody faces any difficulties in getting pension.
