AP MLC polls to be held on July 3

The State Election Commission would issue notification for the biennial elections of Andhra Pradesh Legislative Council tomorrow, Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal today said.
The last date for filing nominations will be June 16, while polling will be held on July 3 to fill eleven vacancies of the Legislative Council, Chief Electoral Officer Bhanwarlal said.
The counting of votes will be undertaken on July 7, he said, adding that, the model code of conduct has come into force on June 2 in all nine poll-bound districts in the state.
