AP tax officer, two aides held for taking Rs 2 lakh bribe

Anti Corruption Bureau (ACB) officials today arrested a Commercial Tax Officer working in Gudivada in Krishna District of Andhra Pradesh, and his two aides while accepting a bribe of Rs 2 lakh.
Commercial Tax Officer B Rama Rao allegedly agreed to reduce the VAT amount in lieu of a bribe amount of Rs 2 lakh, an official statement by the ACB stated.
The bribe amount was collected by two assistants of the tax officer. All the three accused were arrested, the official statement said.
