The three-day event being organised jointly by Center for Cellular and Molecular Biology (CCMB) and Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT) will be inaugurated by Andhra Pradesh Governor ESL Narasimhan.
As part of the celebrations commemorating the golden jubilee, the Akademi, which was set up in 1963, has decided to honour founding Fellows and past Presidents of the Akademi, CCMB Director Ch Mohan Rao told reporters today.
Indian Council of Medical Research (ICMR) Director General Vishwa Mohan Katoch, will deliver a lecture on 'The changing Indian environment for the partnerships in translation and implementation health research' during the inaugural function, he said.
With bifurcation of Andhra Pradesh, the AP Akademi of Sciences will also be soon divided as AP Akademi of Sciences and Telangana Akademi of Sciences, Rao said.
