The Allahabad High Court today dismissed a PIL seeking a direction to quash the selection procedure adopted for the appointment of state information commissioners against eight vacant posts.
A division bench here comprising justices Imtiyaz Murtaza and Shree Narain Shukla passed this order on a PIL filed by Lal Bahadur.
"The petitioner has failed to disclose the correct facts in the matter, which established that he has not come with clean hands and with clean objectives before this court," the bench said.
"Therefore, we are of the view that the present writ petition, at the very outset, deserves to be dismissed as not maintainable," it said and dismissed the PIL.
