Arjun Prasad stays on course for earning Asian Tour card

India's 17-year-old amateur Arjun Prasad stayed on course to earn the coveted Asian Tour card for 2017 as he was placed tied-11th at the end of the second round of the Asian Tour Qualifying School Final Stage today.
Prasad shot 67 today to go with his first round 66.
The winner of the Faldo Series Grand Finals Asia, Prasad struck a purple patch midway through the round after starting from the 10th. He birdied the 15th, 16th and 18th and followed up with a birdie on first and an eagle on second. His only bogey of the day was on fourth.

He is now four shots behind midway leaders, Australian duo of Todd Sinnot (64-65) and Richard Green (66-63), and Japanese youngster Junya Kameshiro (67-62).
Two other Indians -- Abhijit Chadha (67-67) and Sujjan Singh (68-66) -- were tied-17th as was Indo-Swede Daniel Chopra (67-67) at 10-under.
Manu Gandas (67-71) was tied-48th at six-under and five others -- Aman Raj, Udayan Mane, M Dharma, Ashok Kumar and Ajeetesh Sandhu -- were tied-66th at five-under for two rounds.
Gaurav Pratap Singh, Khalin Joshi, C Muniyappa, Veer Ahlawat, Honey Baisoya and Deepinder Kullar missed the cut as top-100 and tied will play the final two rounds.

At the end, top-35 and ties will get the Asian Tour card for 2017.
