The incident took place late last night, when about 7-8 armed men forcibly entered the house of BJP leader Suresh Nagar Chowdhury and shot dead his 18-year-old nephew Bablu, killing him on the spot, they said.
Later, they also shot down their accomplice identified as Chhipa (25) before fleeing from the scene.
It is not yet clear whether the miscreants wanted to attack the BJP leader or loot the jewellery shop within the premises of his residence, Superintendent of Police (SP) Ratan Kant Pandey said.
