Armed men loot over Rs 10 lakh in Punjab

Two armed men allegedly looted Rs 10,43,900 from a wine contractor and his servant here, police said today.
Harjit Singh, the wine contractor and his servant Tarsem Lal were going to hand over the cash to another partner Anil Kocchar at Krishna Nagar, they said.
When the duo reached nearby the LIC Office here last night, two car occupants who were armed with revolvers and covered faces, forced the duo to stop their jeep and looted the money, police said.
Police have registered the case in this connection and further investigations were under progress.
