Armed men loot Rs 16 lakh from collection agents

Bike-borne armed men today robbed two collection agents of cash of Rs 16 lakh in Waran Nagri sector here, police said.
Cousins Neeraj and Anuj, who work as cash collection agents, were robbed when they were carrying cash collected from Big Bazaar (Rs 12 lakh from ), Anand Dairy (Rs 65,000) and some money from other shops, they said.
Around 4 PM when they were passing through Waran Nagri sector near the G D Goenka school, three bike-borne men stopped them and robbed them of cash at gun point, SP rural Suniti said.
An FIR has been lodged and the manhunt launched to trace the robbers, the SP said.
Initial investigations found that the collection agents, who worked with the Radiant and were residents of Sikandrabad, were minors and were not having any ID of the company, police said.
