Four armed miscreants on Monday looted Rs 13.38 lakh from a gas agency owner in Bihar's Jehanabad district, a senior police officer said.
Gagan Bhushan Prasad, the owner of the gas agency, had alighted from his car near a bank, when the miscreants arrived on a motorcycle, ambushed him and decamped with his bag of cash, Superintendent of Police Manish Kumar said.
Sources said the criminals fired shots in the air before fleeing towards Jehanabad town.
Kumar said an investigation has been launched into the incident and police are trying to identify the criminals from the available CCTV footages.
