Ten motorcycle borne miscreants on Tuesday looted Rs 5.60 lakh at gunpoint from the staff of a gas agency located in Riga village of Bihar's Sitamarhi district.
Sadar Sub-Divisional Police Officer (SDPO) Veer Dhirendra said that 10 motorcycle borne armed miscreants barged into the Kishan Gas Agency located at Riga village under Riga police station area and looted Rs 5 lakh from the staff of the gas agency at gunpoint.
The miscreants looted another Rs 60,000 from one Manoj Patel- an LPG vendor- who had reached the godown after delivering the cylinders to the consumers, Gas godown manager Phool Singh said and added that the miscreants also took away the vendor's mobile phone.
All the bike borne miscreants, aged between 20-22 years, fled from the spot, Singh said.
Gas agency owner Harendra Singh said that this is the third incident of loot from the agency in the past six months.
