Arms, ammunition found in Manipur

Security forces have recovered a cache of arms and ammunition from Uchiwa village in Manipur's Imphal West district, an Assam Rifles release said today.
Following a tip off, a joint team of Assam Rifles and police searched the village and found a white polythene bag under a tree in an open field.
The bag contained one 9 mm pistol, one 9 mm carbine machine gun along with a local made magazine, two Chinese hand grenades, three Improvised Explosive Device (IED) delay fuse, two IED circuits, 10 metre Chinese cordtex and flexible wire used in IED, the release added.
Following the recovery yesterday, the arms and ammunition were haded over to the police.
