Acting on a tip off, a joint operation was launched by the army and the police at Tattapani forests in Kalakote belt of Rajouri in which a militant hideout was busted, a defence spokesman said.
The recoveries from the hideout yielded a sniper rifle with telescopic sight (Chinese), an AK-47 rifle, an AK-74 rifle, a 7.62 mm pistol, a Chinese pistol (Mauser), one .32 revolver (made in Pakistan), four hand-held radio sets, one binocular and around 150 rounds of ammunition, he said.
The Rashtriya Rifles Battalion of the Army has been continuously carrying out operations in the area to check attempts of militant strike, the spokesman said, as he lauded the efforts of the police in the joint operation.
