The police have arrested a man, a suspected arms smuggler, along with arms and ammunition during a raid in Bihar's Munger district.
The man was arrested from 'Ganga ghat' near Taufir village yesterday, a police officer said.
The police seized six automatic pistols and 12 magazines from the man, the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) of Munger district, Hari Shankar Kumar, said.
The man was sent to jail today after preliminary interrogation, the ASP said.
The man had bought six automatic pistols and 12 magazines from a village called Bardah and he was supposed to transport the weapons to other side of the river Ganges midnight last night, the ASP said.
