A Hizbul Mujahideen militant, who had recently returned from Pakistan-occupied Kashmir after 16 years, has been arrested by the army in Budgam district of Kashmir.
Dilawar Ahmad Mir, a resident of Magam in Budgam, was apprehended by army personnel during checking last evening, a police official said.
He said Mir had gone to PoK in 2000 for arms training and returned home via Nepal recently.
"The arrested person was handed over to police by the army personnel," the official said, adding a case has been registered against Mir for illegally crossing the LoC.
