"We assure them (Veterans) of all necessary assistance to mitigate their difficulties," the General Officer Commanding of Tiger Division, Major General Ashwani Kumar said today while addressing a Veterans' Rally organised at Jhiri village on outskirts of Jammu city.
The Veterans were apprised about welfare schemes introduced by the central and state governments and other welfare activities undertaken by the Zilla Sainik Welfare Board.
As part of the meet, which was attended by over 1,000 Army Veterans, a grievance cell was established where they were encouraged to register their grievances.
