Army Chief visits forward positions of Kashmir, Leh

Outgoing Army Chief Gen Dalbir Singh Suhag today paid a farewell visit to forward areas of Kashmir and Leh to meet the troops stationed there and encouraged them to continue to work with zeal and dedication to overcome the challenges posed by the terrorists and the "enemy".
Gen Suhag, who will be retiring on December 31, commended the synergy between various security agencies and civil administration in terror-hit Jammu and Kashmir.
The Army Chief was accorded a warm farewell by officers and men during his visit to all the forward locations in Kashmir and Leh, said an army officer of Udhampur-based Northern Command.

While interacting with the soldiers, he complimented them for their professionalism, selfless commitment and loyalty.
He exhorted the troops to continue to work with zeal and dedication to overcome the challenges posted by weather, enemy and terrorism.
