Army chief visits Jammu, briefed on security situation

Army Chief General Bikram Singh today visited 26 Infantry Division and received briefing on the current security situation in the region.
Gen Singh visited Satwari Cantonment in Jammu as part of his two-day visit to Jammu and Kashmir, a defence spokesman said here.
He was received and briefed on the current situation by the General Officer Commanding (GOC) of Tiger Division, he said.
The Army chief was accompanied by his wife Bubbles Singh, who is also the president of Army Wives Welfare Association.
The Army chief, along with his wife, left for New Delhi in the evening, the spokesman added.
