The Army Chief, along with family members, arrived here in the evening, temple sources told PTI here.
After offering worship, the Army Chief was presented with with a sacred cloth and prasadams by the temple management, they said.
Later speaking to reporters outside the temple, the Army Chief said he has come to the ancient temple to seek blessings of Lord Venkateswara for the army to accomplish in all the tasks that were given to them from time to time.
"I have also prayed to the Lord for the well being of all our army staff including officers, Jawans, veterans, and their family members and the widows of martyred.
