Vikas Mishra had been missing since January 27 and a case was registered at Jaitpur police station on complaint of his father. The complainant alleged that his son was in a relationship with a woman named Pooja.
During investigation, police grilled Pooja and her husband Arjun Kumar who broke down finally after trying to mislead police and admitted their involvement in disappearance and murder of Vikas, said Romil Baaniya, DCP (south east).
Later on, however, the couple patched up but Arjun bore "intense animosity" towards Vikas wanted to eliminate him and a conspiracy was hatched in which Pooja was also involved, he said.
They revealed that Vikas was called by Pooja to meet her at Kashmiri Gate Metro station on January 27. From there they went to Golf Link Metro station in Noida and later reached Sector 42 in an auto.
The trio allegedly assaulted and killed him mercilessly and escaped from the spot, said the officer.
All the four accused have been arrested. Mobile phones and weapons used by them to execute the murder plan have also been recovered. The remains of deceased including bones have also been found by the police, he added.
