Army sepoy found dead; 2 booked for murder

An Army sepoy was found dead in the basement of an abandoned shop in the district, police said today.
Sarabjit Singh (28), an Army sepoy who was on leave here from October 25, was found dead yesterday evening in the basement the shop in Dasuya town, police said.
His wife lodged a complaint with police accusing Hardeep Singh and Satnam Singh of killing him, following which police registered a case against the duo, who are absconding, they said.
Sarabjit Singh had come to his village on leave and had to return for duty on October 25. He had left his house in the afternoon on October 25 for withdrawing money from an ATM, they said.

When he did not return, his family members lodged a missing person report with police on October 28, they said.
His body was found yesterday, after which his wife lodged a police complaint accusing Hardeep and Satnam of killing him, they said.
Both the accused are absconding, police said, adding that a search has been launched for them.
