ASI suspended for manhandling senior cop

An assistant sub-inspector of police was today suspended for allegedly manhandling his senior officer in Gandhi Nagar police station here.
The accused Kanhaiya Lal was assigned patrolling duty last evening in the area but he was absent.
"When the SHO Mukesh Chaudhary asked him why he skipped the duty, he misbehaved and manhandled the SHO," DCP Sweta Dhankar said.
She said that the accused ASI was found drunken in a medical test and was suspended today, adding that further probes are on.
