"The state government vide an order issued on December 22 last has placed Nemai Ch Das, AFS, Director of Pension, Assam under suspension with immediate effect," an official release said.
As per the order, Das made some derogatory remarks in print media against Assam Chief Minister on December 5, it added.
"It may be noted that the state government has called for disciplinary action against Das on the basis of the records available in the Pension and Public Grievances Department and the detailed report therein, and declared that being a government servant Das has violated the rules in the Assam Civil Services (Conduct) Rules, 1965," the statement said.
