Association urges scheme for Micro Industries

The Coimbatore District Small Industries Association today urged Chief Minister Jayalalithaa to announce a scheme for Micro industries, on the lines of NEEDS (the New Entrepreneurship-cum-Entreprise Development Scheme), in the State budget.
In its pre-budget memorandum submitted to Chief Minister Jayalalithaa, CODISSIA President R Ramachandran said the vision document of the Government has given a new lease of life to Industries in the State, particularly the MSMEs.
Appealing to the government to consider their suggestions, he requested Jayalalithaa to provide concession on diesel used in gensets, VAT exemption in solar policy, among others, and said the association has submitted a 22-point agenda for consideration.
