Asst RTO of Rampur suspended after school bus accident

A senior official in the transport department in Rampur has been suspended on charges of dereliction of duty following death of three schoolchildren in a bus accident, officials said today.
Three school children, aged between six and twelve years, were killed and 15 others injured when their school bus had turned turtle after being hit by a tanker in Rampur.
Assistant Regional Transport Officer of Rampur, Kaushalendra Pratap Yadav has been suspended on charges of dereliction of duty in the wake of death of the children during the bus accident in Rampur on August 6, a senior officer said here.

The incident took place when the children were on their way to school, police said, adding, the injured were admitted to a hospital immediately.
