A senior RSS leader today said the alleged violence against its swayamsevaks in Kerala and Karnataka has risen out of ideological differences and intolerance.
Noting that Sangh ideology is something which is reflecting in the central government's performance, Hosabale said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi has a RSS background and is implementing thesame principles which RSS stands for.
"The violence that you see in Karnataka and Kerala against RSS workers is because of differences in ideology. The violence which is there is a part of public struggle and public life," RSS Joint General Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale told a gathering during ongoing the 'India Ideas Conclave 2016' organized by India Foundation in Goa today.
"They (violence) may remain for some more time as I said intolerance in some cases has led to this situation," he said.
"Every time Sangh has tried to have dialogue, unfortunately others have not responded properly," he felt.
Several swayamsevaks in Kerala and Karnataka have complained of the attacks against them.
Responding to a question, Hosabale said Sangh does not differentiate between men and women.
"Sangh always feels that besides the difference made by nature, there is no difference between men and women."
He said RSS has equal number of men and women.
"Sangh's view towards women is similar to that of Swami Vivekanand," Hosabale added.
