"The country is going through a situation...The oppressors are in power," Owaisi said at an event organised by Anjum-e- Haidari here.
"Power will be in their hand but not for long. Today, an attempt is being made to create an atmosphere of fear.
"I want to tell those occupying the seat of power that you have an example of the Batle of Karbala, you have example of Imam Hussain and Ali Akbar. They never surrendered before oppressors. Instead, they gave a befitting reply. Even if our heads are chopped off, we will not bow down before oppressive powers," he said.
