NISSAN LAUNCHES NISSAN SAFETY DRVING FORUM IN INDIA - Aims to raise awareness about safe driving - DELHI, February 07, 2013: Nissan announced the launch of the Nissan Safety Driving Forum in India this week to raise awareness of road safety and highlight the benefits of safety technologies in cars. The program was successfully launched at The Great India Place mall in Noida in the first week of February, 2013. The NSDF launch in Delhi will be followed by NSDF programmes in Mumbai (Feb 16 2013) and Chennai (March 2 2013). The two-day activity enabled the participants to learn about safety through panel displays and simulator devices. At the safety forum, participants were taught the importance of seatbelts and how airbags function. Participants also test drove Nissan vehicles and learnt about onboard safety technologies, including the Anti-Lock Brake System (ABS). Announcing the launch, Mr. Takayuki Ishida, Managing Director & CEO, Nissan Motor India Pvt. Ltd, said, "The growing number of cars on Indian roads has also resulted in increased number of accidents.
