Autorickshaw driver arrested for hitting cyclist

An autorickshaw driver was arrested tonight from Ganguly Bagan area of South Kolkata for hitting a person riding a bicyle in an inebriated condition, police said.
The incident happened after 9 pm when the auto hit the cyclist from behind and he fell down. The auto driver then came out of the auto and started hurling abuses.
The local people then came to the rescue of the cylist and handed over the autorickshaw driver to the police.
The local people alleged that the autorickshaw driver was driving rashly in an inebriated condition.
