Avalanche warning for Kashmir Valley's higher reaches

Authorities in Jammu and Kashmir today issued a warning to people living in higher reaches asking them not to venture into avalanche-prone areas.
"As per information communicated by Snow and Avalanche Study Establishment, there is a medium danger avalanche warning for higher reaches in Ladakh region and Kashmir Valley," officials said.
People living in higher reaches of Drass and Kargil in Ladakh region and Keran and Machil in north Kashmir were advised not to venture into avalanche-prone areas, they said.
