Azad cancels rally in Tral after killing of political workers

Health Minister and Congress leader Ghulam Nabi Azad today cancelled his scheduled election rally in Tral town of Kashmir's Pulwama district following killing of three political workers there last night.

"The rally has been cancelled in the wake of killings that took place last night," a local Congress leader and close aide of Azad told PTI.

A Congress sarpanch, his son and a village official were shot dead by militants in two separate incidents in Tral area late last night.

The ultras have stepped up attacks on political workers in the south Kashmir belt, which is going to polls on April 24.
