Samajwadi Party leader and senior Uttar Pradesh minister Azam Khan, known for making controversial remarks, today compared Prime Minister Narendra Modi to the mythical demon king Ravana.
Without taking Modi's name, he said, "The king who rules over 130 crore Indians goes to Lucknow to burn the effigy of Ravana, but he forgets that the biggest Ravana is not in Lucknow but lives in Delhi."
Addressing an election rally in his home turf Rampur, Khan also took a dig at Modi and alleged that he was working in the interests of the rich.
He also appealed to the people to vote for his party to continue the development works.
