He met police officers at Raniganj Circle Inspector's office this evening and answered their queries about the case against him under the Arms Act.
"I have been pained a lot for conspiring such an incident against a singer like me," Babul Supriyo said after coming out of the CI office.
On March 12, Supriyo alleged that he was heckled by Trinamool Congress backed "miscreants" when he was participating in a roadshow at Raniganj in Burdwan district.
Local TMC leader Senapati Mondal denied Supriyo's allegation and instead lodged a police complaint against him in the Raniganj police station.
On the basis of the complaint lodged by Mondal, the Raniganj police station had asked the singer to appear before them.
