A newborn was today stolen from the district hospital here by a woman, who first befriended with the mother and then managed to vanish with the child.
The mother Neetu, a resident of Rahul Vihar in Ghaziabad, had brought the baby for check up at the OPD, police said.
She had given birth to the child at the hospital earlier this month.
The suspected woman took the baby on the pretext of changing her cloths and then managed to disappear from the hospital, they said.
Police have identified the woman through CCTV footages, and a manhunt has been launched to find her out, they said.
