The funding will help BabyChakra invest in product development, strategic hires and to creating localised content, it said in a statement.
The company's goal is to become the go-to site and app for resources and information on parenting and early childhood development. BabyChakra already has 5 lakh mothers who visit regularly seeking advice and support.
"We saw a critical void for an online resource for childcare and parenting. It's such a critical function, but no platform existed. We decided to solve this and build the first platform of its type, globally," BabyChakra CEO and co-founder Naiyya Saggi said.
Ajay Mandahr new CEO of Escorts construction equipment biz * Farm equipment and engineering firm Escorts Ltd today announced appointment of Ajay Mandahr as the new CEO of its construction equipment business.
Mandahr has 26 years of experience in construction equipment, material handling and manufacturing industry, the company said in a BSE filing.

Insecticides (India) Ltd adopts two Punjab village * Agro-chemical firm Insecticides (India) Ltd has adopted two village schools in Punjab as part of its corporate social responsibility (CSR) activities.
IIL Foundation, the CSR wing of Insecticides India, has adopted Government Primary School, Harihar and Government Elementary School, Alike in Punjab, a company statement said.
Harigarh is in Barnala district and Alike is in Bathinda district. Total 230 students from both schools are beneficiary of IIL Foundations' education promotion programme under which books, writing material and school bags are being provided.
