"The real and true Akalis are feeling suffocated as Badal has destroyed glorious Akali legacy," he said.
He cautioned the "real and the true Akalis" not to make any wrong choices.
"Beware that you only make a better choice and not the wrong and the worse one," he urged them, saying it was the future of Punjab that was at stake and everybody was concerned and worried about.
"It is a tragic reflection on the state of affairs that the inheritors of someone like Jathedar Tohra's legacy had to find political asylum somewhere else," he regretted.
He said, what Badal was heading today was in no way the same Akali Dal that was borne out of the great Gurdwara movement and had been conceived and conceptualised by great Sikh leaders like Baba Kharak Singh, Sant Fateh Singh, Master Tara Singh and others.
While appealing to the real and the true Akalis not to make any wrong choices in hurry, the PCC president said, they have a role and responsibility towards Punjab.
"You must ensure that you make a choice from bad to good and not bad to worse," he told all the Akalis who were fed up with the "dictatorial attitude" of the Badals, particularly its president and Deputy Chief Minister Sukhbir Singh Badal.
